About Me
I’m Sanja (pronounced Sanya), a university lecturer at San José State University and an AI specialist focused on helping professionals and organizations understand how modern AI systems actually work, and how to apply them in practice.
Through my work in computer vision, deep learning, and generative AI, I design and teach advanced, hands-on programs for professionals in university extension and executive education. My approach bridges academic depth with real-world application, guiding learners from foundational models to production-ready thinking, from convolutional networks and transformers to multimodal and generative systems.
As a speaker at organizations such as IEEE, Women in Data Science Bay Area Chapter, Women in Robotics, and Silicon Valley AI meetups, I focus on making AI clear, actionable, and relevant for today’s technical and professional audiences.
My specialty is translating complex concepts into practical frameworks, helping engineers, teams, and organizations move beyond surface-level understanding to build intuition about how AI systems see, reason, and create.
